Services & Support
Our service and support offerings are comprehensive, ranging from initial application engineering and design to continuous remote monitoring and ongoing maintenance programs.

Finance
Veristar Energy can offer several financing options including Energy Service Agreements, Power Purchase Agreements and leases to access immediate energy savings and reliability improvements without making a capital investment.
Each of these options has its own benefits and considerations, and the best choice will be unique to your organization’s specific circumstances and goals. It’s also possible to use a combination of these options to finance a project.
How it Works
Veristar Energy will work with your team to uncover applicable tax benefit and utility incentive programs to ensure you receive the best possible payback for your investment. Our network of project financing partners will then provide you with the most competitive rates and financing products suited for your needs.

Tax Benefit & Incentive Opportunities
Federal, state, and local governments and electric utilities encourage investing in and using renewable energy and, in some cases, require it. In the US, the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) increased several key tax incentives and expanded eligibility for accelerated depreciation, benefiting cogeneration projects. When installing a Capstone microturbine for a cogeneration project, up to 50% of project costs can be recovered through the Investment Tax Credit (ITC). These benefits can be paired with local utility incentives to further improve your project payback for a faster return.
Save More Money
Save money on your utility costs generating power onsite and reusing waste heat for daily operations

Meet Net Zero Goals
Capstone Microturbine systems are optimized to act as the backbone of microgrids, seamlessly integrating solar and other renewable technologies

Plan for your Future

government programs

Why Us
Veristar Energy is a leading provider of customized microgrid solutions and onsite energy technology systems focused on helping customers across North America meet their carbon reduction, energy saving and resiliency goals.
01
Lower Initial Costs
In a lease-to-own agreement, your business is not required to make a substantial initial investment to acquire the generation equipment needed to meet your goals.
02
Predictable Expenses
Payments are fixed for the term of the lease, making it easier for your business to budget and plan for the expense.
03
Flexibility
Under a lease agreement, you have the option to purchase equipment at the end of the term, or return it and upgrade to newer, more efficient system under a new lease agreement.
04
Conservation of Capital
Leasing provides you with more flexibility to conserve capital for other needs in your business, such as inventory, hiring, marketing, or other growth initiatives.
05
Tax Advantages
Lease payments are often fully deductible as a business expense for tax purposes, whereas loan payments are only partially deductible.

Maintenance
Overview
Veristar Energy performs startup and commissioning services for Capstone Microturbine equipment, along with our custom controls programming and integration.
Our team of factory-certified specialists also provide after-market service and maintenance, for customers with long-term contracts and also to projects on a time-and-materials basis. We maintain an inventory of spare parts across our multiple offices to support our customers as they need service.

Why Us
Veristar Energy maintains a robust team of service technicians trained directly by Capstone Green Energy to support our customers across the Upper Midwest, New England and Ontario. Our staff maintain service credentials by re-certifying annually.
01
Predictable Maintenance Costs
The FPP is typically a fixed-cost plan, meaning customers pay a set amount for maintenance over the term of the plan. This makes maintenance costs predictable and helps to avoid
unexpected expenses.
02
All-Inclusive Coverage
The Capstone FPP typically covers all required maintenance, including routine service and replacement of parts that wear out over time. This can include everything from filters to engine rebuilds of the microturbine.
03
Expert Service
Maintenance is performed by Capstone Authorized Service Providers, who are extensively trained to perform service for microturbine systems. Working with professionals trained by Capstone ensures that your system performance remains high, maximizing benefits and preventing issues from arising in the future.
04
Optimized Performance
Regular, expert maintenance helps to keep the microturbine running at its best, maximizing efficiency and reliability. Veristar provides two options for service: access to our Authorized Service Providers (ASPs) or training with Capstone directly for your staff.
05
Flexible Terms
The FPP can usually be customized to the specific needs of your business, with flexible terms based on factors like the operating environment and usage patterns of the microturbine.

Remote Monitoring
At Veristar Energy, we monitor your Capstone Microturbine system data so that we can quickly respond to any concerns before they become more serious.
Rather than allowing small issues to go unnoticed and worsen over time, remote monitoring systems allow us to react to power generation problems immediately, either via computer controls or by dispatching a technician.
Our remote monitoring controllers were conceptualized, developed and qualified by teams trained by Capstone Green Energy. This custom equipment was developed to improve on-site controls and integrate more effectively with end-use customer facilities.
How it Works
Our remote operation team will monitor and oversee your microturbine system, ensuring the safe and reliable supply of energy at your site. We work in collaboration with your team, preparing a remote monitoring plan to provide you with immediate alerts and prompt response for unexpected behavior of any connected equipment. Our team will also provide regular diagnostic updates and notification of planned and/or unplanned maintenance needs.

Advanced Microgrid Controls
Monitor, remotely troubleshoot, and correct turbine issues 24/7 with our remote monitoring system control center. Capable of being shared between operators and technicians, our remote monitoring solution will help you to increase your system’s availability, reliability, and operating performance. View your system’s energy savings and performance in real time and access historical data through our online portal.
Why Us
Since Veristar’s Energy founding ten years ago, our team has helped hundreds of customers install some of the cleanest and greenest energy generation systems in North America. The proof is in the projects, so judge us by our successful track record.
01
Monitor & Collect Reporting Data
Our PLC controllers collect data created by your microturbine system, which can be studied for opportunities for potential improvements. Data can also be stored to assist your business with obtaining and verifying utility incentives.
02
Reduce Maintenance Costs
Power generation systems run more efficiently when controlled by a PLC-controller which alerts our technicians the moment an interruption takes place. Breakdowns, utility interruptions and other issues can be sensed within seconds and brought to the attention of our remote monitoring team for immediate action.
03
Maintain Uptime
With remote monitoring services, our service technicians are actively reviewing your data to help prevent an interruption event, ensuring that your operations stay online.
04
Greater Visibility
With remote monitoring microturbine activity can be integrated with building automation systems. By integrating power generation data into a single view, your team can gain greater visibility across business operations and streamline decision-making.

Application Engineering & Design
Our team creates energy solutions that fit the needs, constraints, and goals of a particular application or project. Our experience also includes designing, building and installing custom control packages based on the needs of a project.
Veristar Energy maintains relationships with third-party suppliers to design the most efficient total energy systems for our customers. We can recommend quality, reliable equipment providers for hot water, steam generation, absorption chiller and gas conditioning equipment.
We often partner with qualified Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) firms to deliver turnkey projects. The EPC scope can include the entire project from pre-design through to plant commissioning.
Veristar does not exclusively work with certain EPC firms. Based on the needs of the project, our team will select appropriate EPC partners for the job.
How it Works
By providing these comprehensive application engineering and design services, our team aims to deliver energy solutions that are customized, efficient, reliable, and compliant with relevant standards and regulations. These services aim to optimize the integration and utilization of their energy products, including microturbines, in a variety of settings.
